Nazarene Missions Internation LogoFrom the President:

Dear Mission Leader:

Last January I had the privilege of attending the District Leadership Conference for NMI in Orlando, Florida.  It was a wonderful opportunity where NMI leaders from all over the world gathered together.  Lola Brickey, our NMI Executive Director gave a vision casting report that listed principles for how NMI should operate as we fulfill our vision for "mobilizing the church for mission.  I thought I would share them with you as we begin this new year of service.

NMI Principles

  • We commit to model excellence in every aspect of our service.
  • We commit to share the story of God's blessing through the Church of the Nazarene.

  • We commit to communicate how involvement transforms lives.

  • We commit to encourage, motivate, and inspire others to participate in missions. We commit to be a global organization, keeping the I (International) in NMI.

Join me in making this part of your commitment to the cause of Christ.  We begin by focusing on the areas of Impact for NMI.

What are the key areas of impact for Michigan District NMI?

  1. Prayer
  2. WEF - World Evangelism Fund Offering
  3. Alabaster Offering
  4. Involving Children and Youth in all mission endeavors.
  5. LINKS -Connecting with our assigned missionaries.
  6. Michigan District Project.

Focusing on these areas will not diminish other offerings and programs of NMI, but it is a starting point and can easily be adapted to your local church program.

Thank you for all you do to bring the hope of Christ to our world.
